Sydney-based promoter and events company Finely Tuned is celebrating 20 years of bringing international and local artists to Australian audiences by launching a brand new open air concert series in the city.
Dubbed FORMA, the inaugural event will take over Tumbalong Park across two weekends in November and December, combining headline concerts with food and drink offerings, family programming and sustainability initiatives.
The series opens on Friday, November 27th with a funk and disco double bill featuring Kool & the Gang and Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary. Led by founding members Robert “Kool” Bell and Debbie Sledge, respectively, the two acts will perform career-spanning hits including “Celebration”, “Get Down On It”, “Jungle Boogie”, and “We Are Family”, with Wrong Way Up also on the lineup.
The following night, electronic label Anjunadeep will bring its Anjunadeep Open Air Sydney event to Tumbalong Park for an adults-only showcase of melodic house, ambient and techno. The full lineup is yet to be announced.
Australian indie favourites Lime Cordiale will close out the opening weekend on Sunday, November 29th, joined by Pacific Avenue in a co-headline performance. Great Gable, Pamela and Lola Scott round out the bill.
Week two begins with Peach PRC on Thursday, December 3rd, as the pop star continues touring behind her debut album Porcelain. The following evening sees New Zealand chart-toppers Six60 return to Sydney after recently selling out their On The Steps performance, supported by fellow Kiwi act SUB-TRIBE.
Already announced as part of their national ‘Rewind Tour – All Killer, No Filler’, Hoodoo Gurus will bring their 45th anniversary celebrations to FORMA on Saturday, December 5th, joined by RATCAT and The Stems.

FORMA will also host two free family events on Thursday, November 26th and the morning of Sunday, December 6th, before closing that evening with a mystery headline act still to be revealed. Most concerts will be licensed all-ages events.
Beyond the music, the festival will feature a curated selection of food vendors and bars operating throughout the series, including on non-concert days.
Finely Tuned has also pledged to make FORMA carbon negative through partnerships with Cool Planet and Greenfleet. The event aims to offset more than 120% of its calculated carbon emissions, with a portion of every ticket sold contributing towards native forest restoration projects.
General on sale tickets will be available from 12pm on Wednesday, July 15th, following a presale from 12pm on Tuesday, July 14th. All times are AEST. Sign up for presale here.
