Dean Hanson is stepping into the spotlight on his own with Zeano, his new solo project.

The Ball Park Music guitarist and songwriting has kicked things off with a bang, having released his debut album Window Seat, Always in April, led by the focus track “One More Day”.

A deeply personal and introspective release, the record is described to offer listeners an intimate glimpse into his world, capturing raw emotion and transforming it into something both tender and resonant.

Determined to make space for his Zeano project alongside a killer 2025 for Ball Park Music, Hanson booked in some writing and recording sessions with Boy & Bear’s Tim Hart. In just 10 sporadic days, on rare days off between flights and shows, Window Seat, Always came to life in a studio in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane.

“I’ve always been obsessed with songwriting and aside from some credits across the Ball Park Music catalogue, most of the mountain of music I’ve written has been hidden away, stashed deep in my voice memos,” Hanson explains.

“Amidst a hectic Ball Park Music touring schedule, Tim and I made the most of every opportunity to get into the studio and after a total of 10 sporadic days, we’d completed my debut album Window Seat, Always.

“I’m so proud of this body of work and I think it’s a perfect representation of my songs and what’s to come in the future for Zeano.”
