Niall Horan could soon be heading our way.

On a new episode of the Rolling Stone Uncut podcast, the Irish singer-songwriter teased a trip Down Under in support of his new album Dinner Party, out today (June 5th).

“I’ll be down early next year for sure,” he told Editor-in-Chief Neil Griffiths. “We haven’t got to the announcement part of it yet, but there’s no doubt I’ll be down, [and] I can’t wait.”

In fact, the former One Direction star added that Australia is his “favourite place in the world” as he’s “always felt very much at home”.

“I think we’ve got a very similar sense of humour, we’re quite similar people and I just always felt love considering how far we are away from Australia,” he said. “You just feel right at home the minute you get there and I genuinely like, no jokes, I just love being there, I love playing the shows down there.

“The Australians have always been really good to me, taking me under their wing. So I’ll be down early next year. Tell your mother, tell your sister, tell your auntie and uncle, I’m coming down,” he laughed.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Horan spoke about how he found his confidence after the release of his third studio album The Show (2023), and how that shaped his new release, Dinner Party.

“I gained a lot of confidence from that standing in front of, you know, over a million people on that tour. It gives you a bit of a boost,” he said. “I know I’ve done it for a long time, but like that was the first time I’d played a lot of arenas and all over the world on my own.

“I just think you just naturally get a confidence from that, and it just makes you more excited to get back into the studio, just knowing people want to hear from you.”
