Bizarro is going big this October, unveiling stacked lineups for its trio of electronic music festivals returning across Australia’s East Coast.

Running across one weekend, Overtone, Freeform, and Mode will take over the Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Sydney respectively, bringing together a mix of global heavyweights and local club favourites for three distinct day-to-night events.

Overtone will kick things off at Musgrave Park on the Gold Coast on Friday, October 2nd, before Freeform expands across four stages at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday, October 3rd. Mode then closes out the long weekend at Cockatoo Island in Sydney on Sunday, October 4th.

Tickets to all three festivals will go on sale on Thursday, June 11th following presales from Wednesday, June 10th. See here for Overtone, here for Freeform, or here for Mode.

Leading the charge are some of the most in-demand names in electronic music right now, including Barry Can’t Swim, Interplanetary Criminal, and Richie Hawtin, while Australian dance floor mainstay Mall Grab will also headline Overtone on the Gold Coast.

According to organisers, each festival shares the same core vision while reflecting the identity of its host city. “Each respective lineup is centred on the same DNA celebrating electronic music on day-to-night dancefloors, while also being individually sculpted by the cities and spaces around them,” the announcement reads. “Across one weekend, three festival rosters will bridge global electronic names with local talent, injecting world-class music experiences into three unique locations down the East Coast.”

Fresh off the success of his acclaimed second album Loner, Barry Can’t Swim arrives in Australia as one of dance music’s fastest-rising names, having built a reputation through standout performances at Glastonbury, Warehouse Project, All Points East, and Lost Village.

Meanwhile, Interplanetary Criminal continues his ascent as one of the defining figures of the UK garage revival. Best known for the double-platinum hit “B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)” with Eliza Rose, the producer is expected to bring a high-energy mix of speed garage, bassline, and donk to all three festivals.

Techno pioneer Richie Hawtin also tops the bill, with the influential producer and Plastikman mastermind continuing a career that has helped shape minimal techno and Detroit’s global electronic music legacy for more than three decades.

Beyond the headliners, the festivals boast deep lineups packed with international tastemakers and homegrown selectors, including Avalon Emerson, Ben UFO, Call Super, D. Dan, Freddy K, GiGi FM, Ron Trent, and Two Shell. Australian artists including Future of Music 2026 member Memphis LK, Mikalah Watego, SWIM, and Bella Claxton will also feature across the weekend.
