Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is giving the next generation of creators, gamers, coders, and pop culture obsessives a head start in 2026.
Taking place on Friday, June 19th, Level Up will kick off Supanova’s Sydney weekend a day early, inviting students from Years 8–12, tertiary students, educators and emerging creatives to explore the growing career pathways inside gaming, technology, coding, digital innovation and the creative industries.
After successful outings in 2024 and 2025, the initiative will return with a program of seminars, networking opportunities, esports stages, competitions, exhibitor showcases and interactive demos, designed to connect young people directly with industry leaders. Admission to Friday’s Level Up programming will be free for students in Years 8–12 attending as part of a registered school group accompanied by teachers and faculty.
The 2026 Sydney program will feature keynote speakers including award-winning broadcaster and science communicator Adam Spencer, appearing exclusively for Level Up in Sydney, alongside MythBusters favourite Adam Savage and Star Wars icon Anthony Daniels. Together, they’ll offer insight into careers across gaming, technology, storytelling, science communication and the creative industries.
Level Up forms a key part of Supanova’s 2026 Sydney event, which runs from June 19th–21st, before the convention heads west for Supanova Perth from June 27th–28th.
Of course, the Supa-Star power is already stacked.
Leading the first wave of guest announcements is screen legend Christopher Lloyd, best known as Doc Brown in Back to the Future, as well as his iconic roles in The Addams Family and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Few names land quite as instantly in the pop culture memory bank as Lloyd’s, making his appearance a major drawcard for fans across both Sydney and Perth.

He’ll be joined by Anthony Daniels, the only actor to appear in every Star Wars theatrical release since 1977, bringing decades of stories from inside the golden armour of C-3PO.
Simon Pegg will also appear across both weekends, bringing with him a career that spans cult comedy and blockbuster franchises including Shaun of the Dead, Star Trek and Mission: Impossible.
Adam Savage adds another layer of fan appeal, with the former MythBusters co-host, Tested founder and lifelong maker set to connect with fans who grew up watching science, engineering and creativity collide on screen.
Fresh off the release of Mortal Kombat II, Karl Urban will join the 2026 lineup, appearing exclusively in Sydney. Fans attending the Sydney or Perth events can also meet Charmed favourites Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, Superman & Lois stars Alex Garfin and Michael Bishop, Australian screen names Mitchell Hope, Nathan Jones, John Jarratt and Lincoln Lewis, plus Pokémon voice actor Veronica Taylor, the original voice of Ash Ketchum. With Neil Fanning, the voice of Scooby-Doo in the live-action films, making an exclusive appearance in Sydney.”
