Sombr released a new single, “Potential,” alongside a cinematic video for the track. The evocative song was written by Sombr, who teased it at Coachella last weekend.

The video, directed by Gus Black and co-starring Madeline Argy and Gavin Casalegno, sees Sombr performing the track while during by dancing ballerinas. The performance is intercut with clips of a Bonnie and Clyde-like storyline of a series of heists.

The song itself reflects on a lost relationship as Sombr croons, “It was a difficult break up/ But I wrote some songs that got me famous/ Sometimes I think about what it costs/ You were the last one that I could trust.”

“My new single ‘Potential’ is out now with a music video that could potentially be my best one yet,” Sombr wrote on Instagram. “Love you so very much. I’m so proud of this.”

Along with the new single, Sombr announced a few additional dates for his upcoming You Are the Reason Tour, which hits North America this fall. He added a second show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater in July and a second stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City, which will conclude the tour on Nov. 24.

The tour will feature support from Interpol, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Odell, Dove Cameron, Balu Brigada, King Princess, The Hellp, and Hannah Jadagu on select dates. The general on-sale for the tour begins Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

This week, Sombr will return to Coachella for its second weekend. Last weekend, he enlisted the Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan to perform “Speed” and “1979.”
