Budjerah’s highly anticipated debut album is finally coming.

Out on July 24th via Warner Music Australia, Gentleman, produced by Om’Mas Keith, captures who the ARIA Award winning artist is – with a nod to the pop and R&B sounds he grew up listening to.

The album is led by the recently released “Want You Back” and today is joined by the title track, which was written by songwriter heavyweights Autumn Rowe (Alexis Jordan, Kylie Minogue), Kizzo Keaz (Jon Batiste, Ne-Yo), and Philip Lawrence (Bruno Mars). “Gentleman” oozes with an irresistible hook that will immediately get stuck in your head, bringing a touch of nostalgia as Budjerah sings about treating a girl right on a date.

“You have to be a gentleman and make sure your girl is treated right. I grew up around a lot of old people, so I was influenced by the music they played as well as watching how they treated each other, and that is what this song is about,” he said of the new track.

Gentleman was almost a four year process for Budjerah. Between his life at home and on the road, he said he experienced so much change and growth. “Chasing my dreams I faced new challenges which helped me understand who I wanted to be. Every song on this album holds a piece of me. I hope little Budjerah is proud.”

Amassing a staggering 60 million combined career streams to-date, and Platinum single “Therapy” achieving over 18.8 million on Spotify, Budjerah is on the cusp of becoming a household name. He is already a 2x ARIA Award winner (Breakthrough Artist in 2021 and Best Soul/R&B Release in 2022), he’s been nominated for 15 in total, and has received an APRA Award (Most Performed R&B / Soul Work for “Higher”).

In 2022 he was named GQ Australia’s Breakthrough Artist, and in 2023 he opened for Ed Sheeran on his sold-out stadium tour after collaborating with Sheeran on “2Step”.
