Nicole Kidman plans to continue to keep the details of her divorce from Keith Urban private. In a recent interview with Variety, the actress shared that her focus is on her family, including the two teenage daughters she shares with the country artist.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman said. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect.” She is still stationed in Nashville, despite the split. “We have our life here,” she said. “I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”

Kidman and Urban were married for 19 years before finalizing their divorce in January 2026. They agreed to waive alimony and child support payments, according to online court records. The former couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. The settlement agreement states that Kidman and Urban “will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent,” and “will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”

“I’m staying in a place of ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women,” Kidman said. The couple were separated for a time prior to Kidman filing for divorce in September 2025. “Last year, I was quiet,” she said. “I had other things going on. I was in my shell.”

The actress has not spoken publicly on the split until now. Urban has yet to public address it. This past July, the singer cut a radio interview in Australia short after the hosts asked him a question about the intimate scenes Kidman films for work. Her latest projects include Practical Magic 2, and two TV shows, Scarpetta and Margo’s Got Money Troubles. Urban released his most recent album, High, in 2024.
