The trailer for Beast, an Australian-made film where singer-songwriter Amy Shark will make her acting debut, has dropped today.
Also starring Russell Crowe, Daniel MacPherson, Luke Hemsworth, and former NRL star George Burgess, Beast follows the story of Patton James (played by MacPherson), who “abandons his mixed martial arts dream” to support his wife, Luciana (played by Kelly Gale), and son.
Per the synopsis, “When his brother, Malon (Mojean Aria), suffers a serious injury and faces financial strain to underworld figures, Patton sets out to avenge him in a ONE Championship fight with the help of veteran trainer Sammy (Russell Crowe).”
Co-written by Crowe and David Frigerio and directed by Tyler Atkins, Beast was shot across Sydney, Port Kembla, and at a live ONE Championship event in Bangkok in front of 10,000 fans.
The film is set for release on April 10th.
