At last night’s stop of her ‘Back to Badlands Anniversary Tour’ at Brisbane’s Riverstage, Halsey turned what was already a massive show into a pop party, when Kesha and the Veronicas joined her on stage.

After powering through a marathon 24‑song set built around her 2015 debut Badlands, Halsey paused near the end and cheekily asked the Brisbane crowd to “please stand for the national anthem”.

That’s when Australian pop power duo the Veronicas strutted out and jumped straight into a raucous tag‑team performance of their hit “Untouched”, sparking a joyous eruption from the audience. But the surprises didn’t stop there.

During the encore, Brisbane got another shock when Kesha – who’s currently down under on her ‘Tits Out Tour’ – joined Halsey on the stage for a spirited take on “Your Love is My Drug”, which sent fans crazy.

After the show, The Veronicas posted a playful backstage snapshot with Halsey and Kesha to their socials, cheekily dubbing the trio “your new favourite girl group”.

Halsey’s Australian tour continues to Melbourne tomorrow (February 19th) for two shows at Festival Hall. The tour is in celebration of the tenth anniversary of Badlands, which put Halsey on the map, charting in the top 10 of multiple albums charts around the world, including No. 2 in Australia, and went triple Platinum.

Bringing out special guests is a continued pattern for the US artist, who has previously been joined on stage by the likes of Taking Back Sunday’s Adam Lazzara and CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry.
