Agnes Obel, the renowned Berlin-based singer-songwriter and pianist, has announced her long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand.
Marking her first shows here since her sold-out 2022 tour, Obel will return later this year with a tour kicking off at Brisbane’s QPAC Concert Hall on September 24th, before shows at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and Auckland’s new Te Paepae Theatre NZICC – her second ever show in New Zealand.

After a five-year break, Obel returned to stages in 2025 with a European tour that sold out shortly after being announced, and included a date at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
The intimate live performances comprised of songs from her acclaimed studio albums: Philharmonics, Aventine, Citizen of Glass, and Myopia, which were accompanied by brand new tracks, offering a glimpse of new material to come.
Her evocative blend of alternative, neo-classical, pop, jazz, and electronic production found mass success in Europe on the strength of the Platinum-selling albums. Her poised and melancholic chamber pop draws from the same atmosphere-heavy well as cinematic spellcasters, but with a succinct aura of Scandinavian refinery.
