Aitch has cancelled his upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour, citing “unforeseen circumstances” in a statement shared today.

“I’m really sorry to say I have to cancel my upcoming shows in NZ and Australia due to unforeseen circumstances,” he said. “I know how many of you had plans around these dates and I hate letting you down. I’ll be back as soon as I can. Thank you for the love and understanding.”

The tour would have been the rapper’s first Australian headliner since 2022 following sold-out shows and high-profile festival appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Spilt Milk.

The cancelled run was set to mark Aitch’s return to Australia in January, with headline shows scheduled in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane, presented by Secret Sounds and triple j.

At the time of writing, no rescheduled dates have been announced.

Ticket holders are advised to check with their point of purchase for refund information, while Aitch has reassured fans he plans to return to Australia and New Zealand as soon as possible.

It comes at a moment of heightened visibility for Aitch in Australia following his recent appearance on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which introduced him to the country’s broader mainstream audience beyond his music career.

Speaking to Rolling Stone AU/NZ earlier this year, Aitch described Australia as a place that “feels like home,” noting the strong connection he’s felt with local fans, and how easy his humour and personality translates here.

The tour was announced in support of his second album, 4, which arrived earlier this year and represented what Aitch has described as the fourth chapter of his career.

Released independently, the album debuted at No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart and topped the UK Independent Albums Chart, featuring tracks like “M40” and “Straight Rhymez 2”.

Named after his Manchester postcode (M40), 4 leaned into his roots and core fanbase rather than a traditional major-label rollout.

Since his last visit, Aitch has kept himself busy, musically and personally. In addition to releasing 4, he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro earlier this year and raised more than £160,000 for Down Syndrome UK, a cause close to his heart.
