Hayley Williams doesn’t want hateful people at her show. In a recent interview with Clash Magazine, the Paramore frontwoman made it clear that she will not welcome fans who discriminate at her and the band’s concerts.

“It’s so important that people feel welcome to the party,” she told the outlet. “I’ve always said, all are welcome at our shows. But I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden.”

She continued, “I think that’s a hard line for me now. I hope it naturally happens that people who do harbour those harmful ideologies aren’t going to feel welcome, because they’re going to walk in the door and realise that the gang’s all here, all banded together around something positive.”

The comments come several months after she told The New York Times that the “racist country singer” she references in “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” was about Morgan Wallen. “It could be a couple, but I’m always talking about Morgan Wallen, I don’t give a shit,” she said at the time.

Continuing in the new Clash interview, the singer made one rule clear: “All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome … If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome!”

Williams has spoken openly about how important it is for her to speak against racism and climate change, and advocate for LGBTQ and other social causes so openly. “When you’re passionate about something and you really believe in something, and have the will to spread that, yeah, talk about it,” she previously told the New York Times.
