Everyone’s favourite Youtuber-turned-musician Joji is back with new music.

The critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer has announced his fourth studio album Piss in the Wind, due out on February 6th, 2026 via Palace Creek. The album bridges his sonic past and present balancing melancholic, brooding writing with gritty yet atmospheric production.

Earlier this month, he quietly shared a first taste of the album with “PIXELATED KISSES”, which marked his first new music since 2022’s SMITHEREENS. The single generated millions of global streams within hours of release (now boasting nearly 50 million), and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

He has shared another piece of the upcoming album today (November 5th), “It It Only Gets Better”, which recalls his lo-fi roots, weaving acoustic guitar with syncopated bass and soaring harmonies.

It’s accompanied by a James Mao-directed video, that playfully nods to the breakthrough “YEAH RIGHT” from his 2018 album BALLADS 1, counterbalancing frenetic, clubby visuals with minimal but ruminative lyrics. You can watch the video below.

SMITHEREENS featured the RIAA twice Platinum and No. 1 Spotify Global 50 hit “Glimpse of Us” — his highest-charting single to date.

Since then, Joji has continued to evolve his brand of haunting, minimalist pop, merging vulnerability with tongue-in-cheek surrealism.

His shows over the years have become a cult spectacle, oscillating between tender ballads and absurdist humour, bringing his brand to life.

Fans have long speculated what direction he’d take next, and Piss in the Wind appears to be his most emotionally raw and musically adventurous work yet, blending hazy introspection with flashes of dark wit.

Joji’s Piss in the Wind is out February 6th, 2026 via Palace Creek.
