Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story universe is expanding again — and this time, Ariana Grande is joining the nightmare. The cast for the thirteenth season of the beloved horror franchise was unveiled on Halloween, featuring Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, and other notable stars. The new installment is set to premiere on Oct. 31, 2026.

Fresh off the set of Focker In-Law, Grande joining AHS will mark a reunion with Murphy after the singer/actress starred in 2015’s Scream Queens, which he created and directed. She will also get to work together with Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd, who were also starred in the Fox horror comedy series.

Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman are also set to appear in Season 13. Murphy’s post only included the names of the people on the cast in the show’s signature font on a black background with Vera Lynn’s cover of “I’ll Be Seeing You” playing.

“Surprise bitch, I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me!” read text onscreen in the announcement, referring to iconic lines from Roberts’ Madison Montgomery character in both Coven and Apocalpyse.

Few details have been shared about the upcoming season, but some fans have speculated that this may be the series’ last season. Fans of the show shared their excitement with seeing Lange, Bassett, and Bates back on the franchise, since they haven’t appeared in the show since Season 8, Apocalypse, in 2018. Peters and Paulson were last in 2021’s Double Feature.

The 12th season of American Horror Story premiered in September 2023 in two parts, with the second airing in April 2024. Roberts starred in the 9-episode series, which also featured Kim Kardashian, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Denis O’Hare, and Cara Delevingne.
