Saturday Night Live has its performance lineup ready for November. On Friday, the NBC comedy sketch show announced that Brandi Carlile, Sombr, and Olivia Dean will be joining the show as the upcoming musical guests.
The Nov. 1 show will be hosted by Miles Teller, who returns to SNL after hosting duties in October 2022. Country-Americana star Carlile is an SNL veteran: She joined the show as musical guest in October 2021, December 2022, and earlier this year, in April, alongside Elton John to promote their collaborative album.
The following week’s show will feature two SNL debuts, with indie-pop-rock it-boy Sombr taking the musical guest slot and comedian Nikki Glaser hosting the show. Sombr is experiencing a massive moment, thanks to his album, I Barely Know Her, which features hits such as “Back to Friends,” “12 to 12,” and “Undressed.”

And on Nov. 15, Glen Powell will take on hosting duties, and singer-songwriter Dean — who has gone viral with her album The Art of Loving — will perform. Both are first-timers. Powell’s appearance will come a week after his film The Running Man hits theaters.
Sombr and Dean will both shortly visit Australia; while Dean will perform in Sydney, including a spot at the ARIA Awards next month, Sombr will arrive in December for Spilt Milk festival and some sideshows.
Season 51 started off with a bang. For the season premiere, on Oct. 4, Bad Bunny was the host and Doja Cat performed as the musical guest. That episode saw surprise moments from the voices of K-pop Demon Hunters, Jon Hamm, and Benicio Del Toro. Last Saturday saw Amy Poehler and Role Model — with appearances from Aubrey Plaza, Tina Fey, and Charli XCX, while Role Model performed “Sally.”
This Saturday, Sabrina Carpenter will take on double-duty on the show. She performed as a musical guest last May, delivering renditions of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” Earlier this week, SNL shared a teaser video for the episode featuring Carpenter and cast member Marcello Hernández.
