Ghanian-Australian artist THATBOYKWAME has returned with his latest single, “sleeping pills..”, ahead of the release of his sophomore album In a Matter of Time.
“Sleeping pills..” is a deeply personal and sonically rich exploration of the quiet battles waged within the mind. The track arrives as a prelude to his anticipated album, an ambitious body of work written, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered entirely by himself.
He described “sleeping pills..” as a moment of stillness and self-confrontation. It is layered with atmospheric production and unfiltered emotion, seeing THATBOYKWAME, real name Rich Amevor, navigate mental weight, pride, and purpose.
Pain meets beauty in the track, making it both cathartic and unforgettable.
“This track came from a place of silence. The kind that’s louder than anything else. I wanted to create something that captures the heaviness of the unseen and the resilience it takes to carry it,” he shared.
In a Matter of Time reflects on surrendering to divine timing and the understanding that what is meant for us never misses. Due for release on November 7th, it showcases THATBOYKWAME’s evolution not only as a vocalist but as a producer and creative.
He continues to carve a space for nuanced narratives and sonic innovation, proving that timing, indeed, is everything.
