Spacey Jane and Mallrat have joined forces for “Estimated Delivery (Magic Megamix)”, a remixed version of the band’s iconic track.

The original version appears on Spacey Jane’s third studio album If That Makes Sense, released earlier this year. The album has been nominated for two ARIA Awards — Best Rock Album and Best Video.

Produced by Mike Crossey, the band’s new music continues to receive widespread critical praise. Rolling Stone AU/NZ praised the album with a four-star review, describing it as a “third chance” for world domination. If That Makes Sense follows the highly successful sophomore album Here Comes Everybody (2022) and debut album Sunlight (2020).

Of the collaboration with Mallrat, real name Grace Shaw, Spacey Jane said: “We’re huge fans of Grace (aka Mallrat) and have been lucky enough to become good friends over the last few years. She’s an amazing fit for the song and as soon as we heard her verse we were hooked. It’s always cool to see a song given a new life and it’s even better when it’s the homie.”

Shaw recalled the moment she knew she and the band would be good friends: “The first time I hung out with Spacey Jane we crossed a street and I noticed a praying mantis on the road. I pointed it out to Peppa but the lights were changing and cars were about to run it over. Pep ran onto the road at the last possible second and scooped the praying mantis to safety. That’s when I knew that we were going to be friends.

“I love this Spacey album. It was so fun playing with the production and writing a new verse on this gorgeous song to ratify it.”
