Vance Joy is heading back to where it all began with an intimate stage, a packed room, and the kind of hushed anticipation that only his music can command.
The ARIA-winning singer-songwriter will perform for just 150 lucky fans in a money-can’t-buy experience when he returns to Nova’s Red Room at Sydney’s Paddo Inn on Thursday, October 23rd.
It marks Joy’s second appearance in Nova’s long-running live series, following his 2022 performance in Brisbane beneath the venue’s now-iconic neon glow. “I’m looking forward to returning to Nova’s Red Room as I had a blast last time,” Joy said of the upcoming show.
The announcement comes off the back of a major release for Joy — a double A-side featuring “Divine Feelings” and “Fascination in the Dark”, his first new music since 2022’s “In Our Own Sweet Time”.
The tracks continue his tradition of heart-on-sleeve songwriting wrapped in shimmering folk-pop warmth, a sound that’s earned him over 10 billion streams, multiple platinum records, and global tours alongside heavyweights like Taylor Swift.
“Vance Joy is one of Australia’s most celebrated artists, and his return to Nova’s Red Room for the second time gives fans a truly rare chance to experience his music up close,” said Nova Network’s Group Programming Director Brendan Taylor. “It’s an experience only Nova’s Red Room can deliver; whether it’s Taylor Swift, Lewis Capaldi, or homegrown talent, creating these unforgettable moments is what we’ve become known for.”
The Sydney performance will cap off a huge few months for Joy, who recently wrapped a North American tour and will next appear at Adelaide’s Harvest Rock Festival on October 25th.
