The Kardashians returns on Oct. 23 with more drama and secrets to be revealed in the Kardashian-Jenner family. In the Season Seven trailer, Kim Kardashian navigates the emotions and optics of the trial surrounding the armed robbery she faced in Paris in 2016. Her mother, Kris Jenner, questions whether wearing diamonds to testify is a good look. “I want to be who I want to be,” she says in response.
Kim might be certain of who she is, but in the trailer, she suggests those around her might not be as honest as they seem. “I got a call from investigators,” she says. “Someone extremely close to me put a hit out on my life.” The scene doesn’t hint at who she might be referring to, or the timeline of events.
In another clip, a teary-eyed Kim says, “I’m happy that it’s over,” presumably referring to the trial, which ended in seven men and one woman being found guilty with charges ranging from direct involvement in the crime to complicity with it.
The rest of the family are weathering less intense storms this season. The Kardashian-Jenners, Kendall and Kylie, in particular, navigate saying goodbye to their childhood home. “Kylie and I have so much history in that house,” Kendall says. “We’ve snuck boys in that house and gotten each other out of trouble in that house and fought in that house.”
But the farewell festivities also bring familiar faces around, including Rob Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner. “I think my mom’s had a hard time inviting my dad to some of our family gatherings, but my dad should be included in things,” Kendall adds. Travis Barker and Scott Disick also appear in the preview for the upcoming episodes.
The Kardashians premieres Oct. 23 on Hulu and Disney+ with new episodes every Thursday.
