The 2025 Logie Award winners were revealed in Sydney on Sunday night, with some massive wins and surprises announced.
Claiming all five prizes that it was nominated for, “Fisk” won Best Scripted Comedy Program at the event, the accolades’ 65th ceremony. The hit series also saw Kitty Flanagan and Aaron Chen collect Silver Logies in the comedy Best Lead fields, while Julia Zemiro and Glenn Butcher did the same in the Best Supporting categories.
“Home and Away” star McGranger, one of six women among the seven 2025 nominees for the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, earned the coveted statuette for portraying Irene Roberts on the long-running soap opera. The actress joined the series in 1993, and announced earlier in 2025 that she’s leaving Summer Bay after more than three decades.
“This show has been kept afloat because of the wonderful writers and the wonderful production,” said McGranger, accepting the Gold Logie. “Yeah, it is a soap — but you know what, it gives Australia’s actors and crew so much work, and we are so proud of it. Thirty-eight years, the bloody thing has been going for. It just won’t die. Fantastic.”
“A Current Affair’s” Ally Langdon, “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’s” Julia Morris, “Back Roads’” Lisa Millar, “MasterChef Australia’s” Poh Ling Yeow and “The Voice’s” Sonia Kruger were also in the running for the annual awards’ most-prestigious prize, alongside “LEGO Masters Australia’s” Hamish Blake.
The longest-serving female actor on an Australian drama in history, McGranger also emerged victorious in the Best Lead Actress in a Drama camp, picking up a Silver Logie for her first-ever win at the event in her career.
For “The Twelve,” Sam Neill is 2025’s Silver Logie-winner for Best Lead Actor in a Drama, while “Return To Paradise” is 2025’s Best Drama.

On the day before the ceremony, Magda Szubanski was revealed as this year’s inductee into Logie Awards Hall of Fame. After Ruth Cracknell, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Noni Hazelhurst and Rebecca Gibney, the comedian, “Kath & Kim” star and three-time Most Popular Comedy Personality-winner is just the fifth woman to receive the honour.
“I just feel fortunate and grateful to have had 40 years in this industry, in this country,” said Szubanksi, accepting the accolade via a pre-recorded video due to her battle with stage-four mantle cell lymphoma. “Because by god, at least we are sane.”
Hosted by Sam Pang and held at The Star Sydney, the 2025 Logie Awards also featured moving individual odes to both journalist George Negus and model-turned-media personality Maggie Tabberer, preceding the night’s in-memorium tribute to Australian talents lost over the past year.
When “Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story” was announced as the Best Factual or Documentary Program winner, the former world No. 4 tennis player advised that “we have done a massive thing.” Dokic continued: “this is not about winning. This is about a win for victims and survivors, especially of domestic violence and mental health.”
While Langdon missed out on the Gold Logie, she received the first Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter. The Logies’ two other prizes named after icons of the industry, the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter and the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent, went to Todd Woodbridge and Guy Montgomery, respectively.
2025’s event opened with Jimmy Barnes performing “Working Class Man,” launching an entertainment lineup that also included Guy Sebastian and Marcia Hines, as well as American singer-songwriter Richard Marx. “I can’t think of a song that has less of a connection to the people in this room tonight,” Pang joked during his monologue about Barnes’ classic track.
After being celebrated in the host’s introductory remarks for becoming the most-streamed show globally in 2024, “Bluey” was named Best Children’s Program.
“The Voice” received the first award of the ceremony, for Best Entertainment Program, with “Muster Dogs: Collies & Kelpies,” “LEGO Masters Australia,” “Australian Story,” “The Voice” and “Have You Been Paying Attention?” also among the titles to nab trophies across the night.
