Talks of a reboot of HBO’s hugely successful show Entourage have seemingly been going on for years, and star Jeremy Piven has revealed he’d be up for reuniting with the team should the opportunity come up.
In a new interview with Variety Australia ahead of his Australia and New Zealand comedy tour starting next week, Piven, who starred as unhinged Hollywood agent Ari Gold, said people still talk about wanting the show to make a comeback to this day, despite it wrapping up in 2011.
“I’m honoured and I’m flattered that they, to this day, are missing Ari and Entourage, and that there’s a whole new generation. I got guys coming up to me in their late teens and early twenties that binged it over the pandemic, and so we have this whole new generation,” he said.
“I’m doing stand-up out there, and so I see people in real time that missed the show, and it’s incredible. If there was a reboot, I know there’d be a real hunger for it out there.”
Created by Doug Ellin, Entourage spanned eight seasons and followed up with a feature film in 2015. Piven’s stand-out performance in the show landed him two Golden Globes and three Emmys.
Ellin and Entourage favourites Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly also host Victory the Podcast, which has also been joined by Piven, as well as fellow main cast members, Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrera.
While all of the cast have been open to a reunion in recent times, Ellin is currently pitching a new show to networks and streamers, Ramble On, which stars Charlie Sheen as well as Dillon and Connolly.

Whether it eventuates is a whole other conversation, but Piven admits he misses the show.
“We really struck a chord with people and one of my favourite forms of acting is Commedia dell’arte which is the oldest form of acting – you invest emotionally as deeply as you possibly can, and you swing for the fences, and that’s how I played Ari Gold,” he said.
“It was an extension of this great form of acting that I really loved.
“So, I miss doing that, and I loved doing it, and I think people miss watching it. And it could also be a vehicle to comment on everything that we’ve been through and everything we’re currently navigating. It’s seen through the eyes of these characters that we all have a reference for. That could be very fun… all I can tell you is that the audience hasn’t gone anywhere. It’s only grown with this new generation.”
