Billie Joe Armstrong celebrated the Fourth of July by criticizing the current president. During a concert at Rock Werchter in Belgium over the weekend, the Green Day frontman led the audience in a chant of “Fuck Donald Trump.”

The punk band opened their set with “American Idiot,” during which Armstrong tweaked the lyrics to say “I’m not a part of the MAGA agenda”—a common alteration during recent Green Day shows. The musicians transitioned into “Holiday” and urged the crowd to join them as they shouted “fuck Donald Trump” during an extended jam.

During the set, the band also performed part of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the American national anthem, before playing “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”

Armstrong has been a vocal critic of Trump and his policies, often using Green Day shows as an opportunity to call out the president and his allies. In June, the frontman told Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Trump administration to “fuck off” in support of the thousands of the Los Angeles-area residents who had been protesting raids against the immigrant community.

“American Idiot” was originally written about George W. Bush’s presidential administration. During New Year’s Rockin’ Eve this year, Green Day notably sang, “not a part of the MAGA agenda.” Following the election in January, Armstrong also took aim at Elon Musk. While performing “American Idiot” in Johannesburg, South Africa, the band switched the lyrics to fire at the Tesla and X CEO: “I’m not a part of the Elon agenda.”
