Here’s more Australian music that dropped last week:

Sunbeam Sound Machine – “Waterfall (Strange Gravity)”

Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Sunbeam Sound Machine returns with the bright new single “Waterfall (Strange Gravity)”. The track comes alongside the announcement of his fourth album, Double Magic, set for release this August.

FELIVAND – “this very thing”

FELIVAND delivers a soaring second single, “this very thing”, from her upcoming album. The Naarm/Melbourne-based artist’s full-length my body’s my true north is set to arrive on July 18.

Charlie Collins – “The Last 48 Hours”

Singer-songwriter Charlie Collins has released the third single from her first album since 2022, Nightwriter.

The emotional track, titled “The Last 48 Hours”, sees Collins tackle her issues with an addictive personality. Built around a raw steel-string guitar, the song swells as Collins reflects on the crutches she’s used while getting sober, all leading to the stark final lyric: “I’m always gonna be an addict”.

The Living End – “Strange Place”

The Living End are back and louder than ever with their new single “Strange Place” — a three-minute punk blast for a world coming apart at the seams. “Strange Place” is the second track lifted from the Melbourne band’s upcoming ninth album.

Oceanique – Skylines

Melbourne indie-folk duo Oceanique have released their second album, Skylines. The thoughtful record explores themes of change, hope, and resilience through the eyes of twin sisters Maddy and Jess.

Karnivool – “Drone”

“Drone” is Karnivool’s first new music in four years and marks the Perth prog rockers’ entry into a new era.

“This track hums with the weight of vast Western Australian deserts, anchored by colossal rock riffs that could only come from our home. It’s both a reflection and a rebirth,” says Karnivool.

Bliss n Eso – “Be OK”

Hot on the heels of their ARIA #1 album The Moon (The Light Side), Bliss n Eso will release its follow-up, The Moon (The Dark Side), this October. The latest cut from the upcoming album, “Be OK”, is, according to the Sydney group, “for anyone who’s ever felt lost in the noise, stuck in their head, or haunted by memories that won’t let go.”

Matthew Ifield – “Start From Scratch”

Sydney singer-songwriter Matthew Ifield has announced his debut album My Favourite Place To Be, along with a global headline tour. The tour will see the rising 20-year-old perform across North America, Australia, and Asia. The silky smooth new single “Start From Scratch” is out now.

OLC Music Collective – All Our Tomorrows

The OLC Music Collective, born from Woolloomooloo’s Ozanam Learning Centre, have just released their second album All Our Tomorrows. The ten-track record blends heartfelt stories with intimate duets from street rapper Tiny Tones and Cassie McInnes, plus poetic ballads by local nomad Peter Lette – a celebration of voices coming together.
