Brad Pitt‘s home in Los Angeles has reportedly been broken into and police are investigating the alleged incident, law enforcement sources told NBC News on Thursday.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed a break-in on Wednesday night at a residence located on the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street in the Los Feliz neighborhood, reported the Associated Press. The outlet stated that Pitt reportedly purchased the home for $5.5 million in April 2023, per Traded, a commercial real estate website.
NBC News said that an LAPD spokesperson confirmed that the alleged burglary occurred at 10:30 p.m. Police told People that the suspects “broke into the residence via the front window, ransacked the location, then fled the location with miscellaneous property.”
Police did not identify who owned or lived in the home, there is currently no information on what was stolen, and the suspects have yet to be identified.
A representative for Pitt did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The alleged burglary occurred months after Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Los Angeles home was broken into on Valentine’s Day.
Pitt was reportedly not at home at the time of the alleged break-in. He has been out of the country promoting his new film, Joseph Kosinski-directed F1. In a Rolling Stone review of the film, writer David Fear wrote, “The way that Pitt injects his presence, his physicality, his charm, his well-honed screen persona, his particular mix of discipline and DGAF effortlessness, and his backhanded way of making outdated, Golden Age Hollywood roguishness feel completely somehow timeless is what makes this a winner.”
