Off the back of a sold-out national tour last November and a relentless global trek, punk-rock Swedes Viagra Boys have announced their Infinite Anxiety Tour of 2026 will be heading to major cities across Australia and New Zealand.
Known for their searing satire, swaggering sleaze and offbeat humour, Viagra Boys have built a reputation as one of Europe’s wildest and most compelling live acts. Their often politically charged lyrics are accompanied by a post-punk sound, blended with elements of dance punk, garage punk, and even art punk.
Viagra Boys have unleashed three critically acclaimed albums to date: Street Worms (2018), Welfare Jazz (2021), and Cave World (2022), and have very recently released their latest, Viagr Aboys. The album was released April 25th via their own newly launched label Shrimptech Enterprises.
The six-piece will bring their ferocious energy to venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle and Auckland, where fans can expect the usual mayhem and off-kilter commentary.
A favourite on the global festival circuit, the band has racked up explosive sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and more. In 2023, they joined Queens of the Stone Age on their US tour, earning praise for their riotous performances.
Viagra Boys also share an Aussie connection: Amyl and the Sniffers frontwoman Amy Taylor features on the band’s raucous cover of John Prine’s “In Spite of Ours3lves” – an unexpected yet fitting collaboration.
