To celebrate the return of Nova’s Red Room Global tour, drive hosts Ricki-Lee, Tim and Joel, along with the network team and some competition winners, went abroad for some exclusive shows.
As well as sitting down with US artist Gracie Abrams, the team also saw the pop star’s opening show of her Australian and New Zealand tour in Auckland, as well as a special Red Room performance by Lauren Spencer Smith and even interviewed Benny Blanco in LA.

LEG 1: SYDNEY – APRIL 28th
RICKI-LEE LIVE IN NOVA’S RED ROOM
The tour kicked off in Sydney on the evening of Monday, April 28 at Piper Rooms at the Ovolo in Woolloomooloo – for Live in Nova’s Red Room with Ricki-Lee Coulter.
The jam-packed room enjoyed a memorable performance by Ricki-Lee, who performed some of her greatest hits to an audience of fans and industry VIPs. The morning after the performance, Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel departed, along with the tour group, for Auckland.

LEG 2: AUCKLAND – APRIL 29th
GRACIE ABRAMS AT SPARK ARENA
The second leg of the tour was Auckland, where Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel interviewed international music phenomenon Gracie Abrams backstage ahead of her show at Spark Arena. Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel then joined the competition winners for an incredible performance by Gracie, to a packed arena of fans.

LEG 3: LOS ANGELES – MAY 1st
BENNY BLANCO AND LAUREN SPENCER SMITH
The next stop was Los Angeles, where the group of 12 Nova competition winners and industry guests took part in a special Nova’s Red Room, featuring award-winning record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco and breakout recording star Lauren Spencer Smith.
Held at Arden restaurant in West Hollywood, Benny Blanco sat down with Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel and the competition winners over lunch, where he spoke about working with his fiancé Selena Gomez for the first time when she was 16, making their new album, I Said I Love You First, Selena asking him out for their first date – and whether he has a favourite song from the his vast back catalogue of songs he’s written and produced.

Straight after lunch, guests enjoyed an exclusive Nova’s Red Room performance by Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith. Lauren performed an incredible set featuring songs from her new album, The Art of Being a Mess, as well as some tracks from her hit debut album, Mirror. The performance precedes Lauren’s upcoming ‘The Art of Being a Mess world tour’, which comes to Australia in November.
Lauren kicked off the performance in front of an excited crowd with one of the songs that launched her career, “Fingers Crossed”. She followed this up with her very first live performance of her new song, “If Karma Doesn’t Get You, I will”. A new song, “Parallel Universe”, followed. Lauren continued with “Pray” and “Small”, closing the performance with “Flowers”, which Lauren revealed was the favourite song she’s written.

LEG 4: LAS VEGAS – MAY 4th
POST MALONE WITH JELLY ROLL
The tour concluded in Las Vegas, where the tour group took in an epic show by Jelly Roll and Post Malone at Allegiant Stadium.
