Aimee Lou Wood called working with Walton Goggins “the best thing ever” during a Met Gala interview that will hopefully put to bed the interminable speculation about a possible rift between the White Lotus costars.

Since the Season Three finale last month, the rumor mill has been in overdrive, especially after fans noticed that the two no longer followed each other on Instagram, despite both also sharing heartfelt and earnest tributes to the show and their characters. Compounding that were Jason Isaacs’ characteristically vague-yet-juicy comments about off-camera drama during production, as well as Goggins’ and Woods’ vastly different reactions to Saturday Night Live’s “White Potus” parody.

While neither addressed the situation for weeks, Goggins finally found himself in front of a journalist in the U.K. who posed the question only to be shot down. “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” Goggins said, adding later, “There is no conversation to be had about that.”

For her part, Wood made her remarks at last night’s Met Gala after being asked by Entertainment Tonight about Goggins’ upcoming SNL hosting gig, and whether or not she’d cameo. Wood replied that she was “not doing that,” but not for reasons of any ill will.

Asked if she would do such a thing, Wood — who probably has a very busy schedule of her own — replied, “Yeah! Why not? It’d be fun. I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever.”

Wood went on to say of Goggins, “He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do; he’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”

Oh, and by the way, Goggins and Wood have started following each other on Instagram again, so please let this be the end of this.
