The interminable wait for the most important show on television — And Just Like That— is nearly over. A new trailer for the Sex and the City sequel series has arrived, with the show slated to return May 29 on Max.

The new clip finds Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) adjusting to life in her new (ostensibly rat-filled) apartment following her (ostensibly temporary) split from longtime on-again-off-again beau Aidan (John Corbett). She’s also apparently giving up column writing and podcasting, to embrace the endeavor all writers (take it from us) believe they were actually born to do: write a novel. (Unsurprisingly, Carrie’s agent suggests she gives “romantasy” a go, with the pun-tastic title, Sex in the Cauldron.)

Elsewhere, there’s lots of, well, what else? Dating. Cynthia Nixon’s Miranda to Nicole Ari Parker’s Lisa are harboring work crushes; Kristin Davis’ Charlotte is walking in on her daughter making out with a crush; and Sarita Choudhury’s Seema is turning down every boring bachelor in New York City.

As for Carrie, she’s got a hunky new neighbor, but also — for reasons we still cannot fathom — continues to harbor feelings for Aidan, who sure does seem to be spending a lot of time in NYC for someone who apparently really needed to care for his kids in Virginia.

Season Three of And Just Like That… arrives with a handful of notable cast changes, including the departure of Sara Ramírez, who played the show’s most controversial character, Che Diaz. Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace, also left the show for scheduling reasons.

New recurring cast members for this season include Patti LuPone, Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake, Logan Marshall-Green, and Rosie O’Donnell.
