Australian dance music legend Nick Littlemore has teamed up with a wellness company bringing their acclaimed sound pods down under.

Rolling Stone AU/NZ can exclusively reveal that the Empire of the Sun and PNAU founder will serve as music director for TERSA’s SAVA Sound Pods.

Littlemore has been tasked with “creating the immersive Sound Journeys for the SAVA Sound Pod, guiding users on a transformative, multisensory experience that transcends traditional meditation and recovery practices”.

He has been brought on board by TERSA’s Australian-born, US-based CEO and founder, Ray Kelly, who he has known for 20 years and helped him on his own healing journey with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

Kelly told Rolling Stone AU/NZ: “SAVA is a culmination of my deep friendship with Nick and years of us dreaming of a world where we can elevate consciousness, and my 20 + years addressing pain management and human performance and ultimately realising that something major was missing in the medical, health and wellness space – a deep need to help people connect to higher states of consciousness, and the need to approach the human body from a multidimensional perspective by using sound, frequency and vibration as a way to help people overcome pain, stress and anxiety.

“The human body cannot heal if it’s in a constant state of stress, so by talking to the body in its natural language (energy and frequency) we can directly talk to the nervous system taking you out of the fight or flight response and bringing you down to a deep state of rest – it’s similar to tuning a radio station. From a design standpoint, the inspiration came from our deepest human connection and the beginning of consciousness – the womb, and drawing inspiration from biophilic designs in nature to create a deeper, emotional and subconscious connection.

“The SAVA pod is about taking users on an inner and outer body experience by connecting you to a song, to become one with it, and taking you on a journey through sound using science-based frequencies while integrating natural sounds and ancestral wisdom.”

The ultimate goal of the SAVA Sound Pod is to symbiotically connect the user “to a song via the pod using sensory based music so you literally feel it at a cellular level”.

“Ray and I were psy buddies exploring the outer regions of the inner mind and consciousness through the use of plant hallucinogens,” Littlemore told Rolling Stone AU/NZ.

“During these brief but amazing journeys I would play different musical ideas I’d been playing with, they elevated the experience and in the sobering hours and weeks between trips would trigger vivid memories and visitations. It went on from there, the idea slowly became about taking the listener to these dimensions purely through sound and music.”

The SAVA Sound Pod will be available initially at Saint Haven’s South Yarra location, before being rolled out at its additional Collingwood and soon-to-open Toorak locations.

Kelly and Littlemore confirmed that they will look to collaborate with more local artists in the future.

“Things can only get better; from one seed a forest grows,” Littlemore said.

“SAVA is here to help, simple just like that. A musical revolution has started.”
