Hip-hop heavyweight Ice Cube is touching down in Australia this week for two exclusive live shows in Sydney and Melbourne—and he’s bringing one of the country’s most formidable MCs, B Wise, along for the ride.
The legendary rapper and actor will perform Friday, March 7th, at ICC Theatre in Sydney before heading to Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday, March 9th. With a career spanning decades, Cube is expected to unleash a career-spanning setlist that throws back to his N.W.A days, his massive solo hits, and his latest release, Man Down, which recently cracked the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart—his first solo album to do so in 14 years.
Ice Cube isn’t the only one bringing heat to the stage—Nigerian-Australian rapper B Wise has been locked in as the special guest for both shows. Hailing from Western Sydney, B Wise has cemented himself as one of the country’s most respected voices in hip-hop, blending personal storytelling with sharp lyricism. His 2018 album Area Famous became a landmark Australian hip-hop release, earning an FBi SMAC Award for Record of the Year—making him the first hip-hop artist to ever take out the title.
Since then, he’s built an unstoppable reputation on the live circuit, sharing the stage with heavyweights like Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, Vince Staples, G-Eazy, and Freddie Gibbs. Now, he’s set to represent Australian rap on a global stage, opening for one of hip-hop’s most influential figures.
Ice Cube’s influence on hip-hop cannot be overstated. As a founding member of N.W.A, he helped shape the genre with Straight Outta Compton before launching an equally game-changing solo career. From AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted to The Predator, Cube’s discography has remained as politically charged as it is iconic, influencing generations of artists along the way.
Beyond music, his Hollywood takeover has been just as monumental. From the Friday and Barbershop franchises to producing the Oscar-nominated biopic Straight Outta Compton, Ice Cube has consistently dominated across music, film, and business—most recently with the BIG3 basketball league, which just pulled off its biggest season yet.
Even in 2025, Cube remains as sharp as ever, with Man Down proving that his lyricism, social commentary, and presence in the game are still untouchable.
With only two Australian dates on this tour, this is a rare chance to witness a hip-hop icon live in action. Whether you’re a lifelong Cube fan or a new-school rap head ready to see one of the best to ever do it, this is not a show to miss.
