Chaos In The CBD have shared their new track “I Wanna Tell Somebody”, a breezy, Bossa-infused cut from their debut album A Deeper Life, out Friday, May 9th.

The London-based Kiwi duo, brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales, blend jazz-inflected house and disco with a laid-back warmth, and this track is no exception. Josh Milan of legendary house outfit Blaze lends his honeyed vocals, elevating the song’s sun-soaked groove.

“‘I Wanna Tell Somebody’ has quickly become one of our personal favourites from the album,” the duo shares. “The song’s bossa-infused instrumental provides the perfect backdrop for the unmistakable voice of Josh Milan, whose delivery brings an effortless air of warmth and lightness to every note. The final result is a song that radiates joy and carries lightness, thanks to Josh’s silky-smooth vocals. We’re incredibly proud of this one and can’t wait for you to hear it.”

The track follows “Love Language”, a smooth, sax-laced groove featuring longtime collaborator Nathan Haines. A Deeper Life also boasts guest appearances from Lee Pearson Jr., Stephanie Cooke, and UK grime MC Novelist.

Reflecting on the album, the duo describe it as a “love letter” to their New Zealand roots, their journey as brothers, and the global sounds that have shaped them.

“This is an immensely proud moment for Beans and I,” they shared. “Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined that when we relocated to London from Auckland in 2012, not only would we one day release an album, but that it would turn into a full-time career, giving us the chance to travel the world and meet incredible people along the way. We owe so much of this success to those who have continued to support us, and we hope this musical offering excites you as much as it does us.”
