Brat season continues. Charli XCX pulled out the club classics by performing “Von Dutch” and “Guess” on the Grammys stage.

During the video intro for her performance, Charli teased that she was going to perform the “least Grammy-appropriate songs. Expect to be a little bit upset, honestly.”

Her set began as she stepped out of a black van with “XCX” on the license plate. Draped in a fur coat and denim ensemble, the star sang “Von Dutch” in an underground lot. Then, she transitioned to the main stage, bringing out Julia Fox and the Dare — and a whole lot of her friends — to perform her hit “Guess” (collaborator Billie Eilish sang along from the audience) while undergarments were thrown in the air and the Brat star crawled across the floor.

Charli XCX was nominated for seven Grammy awards at this year’s ceremony.

The nominations marked the singer’s first Grammy nods as a solo artist. Previously, she was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance alongside Iggy Azalea for their 2015 radio hit “Fancy.”

Brat season isn’t just taking over award shows—it’s about to take over Australia. Charli XCX is bringing her high-energy, genre-bending pop mayhem to Laneway Festival 2025, marking her first headline slot at the festival.

And if her chaotic, club-fueled Grammys performance was anything to go by, fans should brace for a full-throttle, no-holds-barred set when she touches down.

Kicking off in Auckland on Feb. 6, before hitting Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, Charli’s Laneway run arrives at the peak of her Brat era—a time when her neon-drenched aesthetic, sharp-witted lyrics, and pulsating club beats have made her one of the most essential pop stars on the planet.

Her Laneway set also lands hot on the heels of her record-breaking run in triple j’s Hottest 100, where she secured eight entries—tying with Billie Eilish for the most songs in this year’s countdown.

Between that, a headline festival slot, and a Grammy glow-up, it’s safe to say Charli XCX is entering her Australian era with all the momentum in the world.
