True wireless and active noise-cancellation
It’s easy to get confused by terms like “true wireless” and “active noise-cancellation.” But these distinctions are at once significant and easy to get your head around.
True wireless simply means there are no wires involved. So, this distinguishes the ATH-CKS30TW+ from other kinds of Bluetooth headphones (most notably, over-ear headphones) where a wire is used to connect the left and right speakers.
Active noise cancellation is defined in contrast to passive noise cancellation. The latter depends on the earbuds’ shape to seal out unwanted noise, while the former employs microphones and speakers to actively reduce the amount of background noise that reaches your ears.

Four colour options, long battery life, pocket-sized
Audio-Technica’s ATH-CKS30TW+ wireless headphones are available in four colours: matte black, light beige, evergreen, and translucent skeleton (also known as translucent black).
Fully charged, you’ll get up to 6.5 hours of use with noise-cancelling switched on. The number rises to 7.5 hours when noise-cancelling is switched off. If the charging case is fully charged, then you’re looking at close to 20 hours of use.
There’s an LED light on the charging case that indicates remaining battery power. The ultra-slim charging case easily fits in a pocket or wallet, meaning you can put the earbuds inside the case when not in use to maximise playback time.
The ATH-CKS30TW+ headphones are also suitable for online meetings and casual phone calls. You can answer calls with the earbuds’ touch sensor, while the sidetone function lets you hear your own voice during calls.
