Childish Gambino is putting his health first. On Monday, the musician, born Donald Glover, announced that he would be postponing the rest of the dates of his New World Tour to focus on his physical well-being.

“Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. hold onto your tickets,” Glover wrote on X. (It’s unclear what health issue he is facing.) “ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in North America when they are rescheduled.”

“Thanks for the privacy. Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love,” he added.

Glover kicked off his North American tour on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City and had already stopped in cities such as Toronto, Philly, New York, and Nashville. His last show was in New Orleans over the weekend. On the road, Gambino played nearly the entirety of Bando Stone and the New World, opening his set with “H3@RT$ W3RE M3@NT T0 F7¥,” “Got to Be,” and “In the Night.” He also brought back some deep cuts that he hadn’t performed in years.

Glover was set to continue his tour this fall with several stops across Texas and shows in Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. He’s still scheduled to head to Europe, alongside opener Amaarae, starting Oct. 31.

The musician had been teasing the live renditions of his album, telling Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 earlier this summer that the LP was “made for arena rock.”

“If this live show isn’t the best live show you’ve ever seen by the first song, you can have your money back,” Glover said. “When you hear all these songs, you’ll know them. I’m going to add all these new songs. I’m going to add all this new technology, but the live event is what makes it valuable to me.”
