Is This the Future of Sound?
Samsung have always been innovators when it comes to high tech sound. But their new Galaxy Buds3 Pro might be the most exciting advancement yet.
Some people’s love language is touch; for others, it’s quality time, gift giving, or maybe even acts of service. But Derrick Gee? His love language is music. And he’s made it his full-time job to share that adoration with his 500,000+ followers. He’s a favourite on people’s feeds, known and trusted for his song recommendations, genre and cultural breakdowns, and epic playlists.
“Sound has given me the ability to express my feelings to a lot of people without using words. My love language is music, and being able to share how I feel through songs and experiences has changed my life,” he shares.
“I talk to my hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok about music and hi-fi products that I love, helping them to enjoy the best music at the best quality.”
In his latest project, Gee features in the first episode of Samsung’s ‘Sound Is Everything’ series, where the DJ, radio host, content creator, and self-proclaimed ‘professional music fan’ reviews the new Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro.
The episode takes viewers through a day in Gee’s life in Sydney’s Surry Hills, as he puts the new earbuds to the test. From listening to his favourite tracks on the go to recording crystal-clear interviews with podcast guests, Gee seamlessly integrates the earbuds into his routine.
“I was really excited to review the Galaxy Buds3 Pro. What I appreciate about premium designs is that if they take so much care with the design and the exterior, then they’ve cared about the interior.”
The major advancements of the Galaxy Buds3 Pro include the use of Galaxy AI* technology to improve all aspects of music, content, and entertainment absorption. The new bladed design not only looks sleek but also ensures supreme all-day comfort, with LED Blade Lights that add a futuristic touch to the aesthetic. Plus, their Adaptive Noise Control, powered by Galaxy AI, optimises the audio experience by balancing ANC** and Ambient modes based on your environment. Whether in a noisy café or a quiet studio, they adapt to deliver the perfect sound.
“It feels like you’re in the music. It feels like you’re in this little bubble of space. You can be all about the music and nothing else,” says Gee.
One of the standout features is real-time translation, which Derrick finds incredibly useful when connecting with international artists and podcast guests. This innovation opens up new possibilities for communication and collaboration. “The interpreter is crazy. It is a technology that is able to live translate^. It opens up the opportunity for me to speak to guests around the world,” says Gee.
For music fans, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro represents the pinnacle of sound technology, ensuring that high-quality audio is always within reach. “When I hear amazing sound, what I feel is so personal and so rich, it’s feeling every feeling at once. And I don’t think that you could ask for anything more than that.”
The Samsung Buds 3 Pro are available now via the Samsung website.
*Fees may apply to certain AI Features at the end of 2025
**The performance of ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) may vary depending on the wearing condition and surrounding noise. ANC requires a compatible smartphone pairing via Bluetooth. ANC is on by default, Voice Detect is off and Siren Detect is off by default, and can be configured in the Galaxy Wearable app.
^Samsung account required. Language package must be downloaded prior to use. Audio interpretation is only available when wearing Buds and connected to a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Interpreter (live translation) feature is not directly provided by Buds themselves. If Buds are unavailable, the interpreted content is provided on the screen of your Samsung Galaxy smartphone. The default setting of the Pinch and Hold gesture is set to Noise Control. In order to change the Interpreter to Listening Mode, the settings must be configured on the Galaxy Wearable app.
