Mid-way through one of his biggest years yet, Grammy-nominated Gold Coast artist FISHER has shared “Boost Up”, a collaborative single featuring legendary UK grime MC Flowdan.
Since the widespread success of 2018’s “Losing It”, which went #1 on the Australian and American club charts, received a Grammy nomination, and performed well across Europe and Australia, FISHER is now one of the leading lights of the electronic music scene, becoming a fan favourite at festivals around the world.
On his latest release, “Boost Up” sees FISHER colliding with the UK grime world, a pairing of two genres that never really fails, especially not for Flowdan. Thanks to his skilled lyricism, Flowdan has collaborated with acts like Skrillex and Fred again.., and his link-up with FISHER arrives early ahead of summer festival season in the Southern Hemisphere.
Last year, FISHER performed at Coachella alongside Chris Lake, released the now-platinum single “Atmosphere”, which garnered huge streaming worldwide.
So far this year, he’s performed to 30,000 in his hometown during his Out 2 Lunch Festival in the Gold Coast, collaborated with Jennifer Lopez (“Waiting for Tonight”), and was nominated twice at this year’s Rolling Stone Australia Awards, for Best Single (“Atmosphere” with Kita Alexander) and the prestigious Global Award.
And after a six-year hiatus, FISHER is ready to make waves in New Zealand once again.
The DJ and producer recently announced two exclusive shows in Aotearoa, which will take place in Christchurch and Auckland in January of next year.
