As international touring finally begins to make its return to Australian stages, so too has the long-awaited 2022 edition of Splendour in The Grass been gearing up to return to Byron Bay this July. Now, a slew of global artists have unveiled a run of sideshow dates for July of this year.
Announced this morning, some of the biggest names on the Splendour bill will be making some extra stops during their time in the country. While headliners such as The Strokes, Gorillaz, and Tyler, The Creator had previously announced their own sideshows previously, the recent announcement sees new dates from the likes of Liam Gallagher, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (supported by Wet Leg), Yungblud, Duke Dumont, and Jack Harlow, just to name a few.
There’s also shows from Jungle, Starcrawler, Surfaces, Tierra Whack, Orville Peck, Mura Masa, and Oliver Tree on offer – and that’s without being exhaustive. Needless to say, if you’re unable to make it up to Byron Bay later this year, it seems as though the festival will be making its way to you in some capacity.
