Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley filed for divorce after three years of marriage on Friday. The Sarah Margaret Qualley v. Jack Michael Antonoff filing with Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn describes the split as an “uncontested joint divorce.” The court noted it had processed a certificate of dissolution of marriage but that a settlement agreement was still pending and that a judge needed to review everything. The couple had no children.

People cited an anonymous source who claimed Antonoff, 42, and Qualley, 32, ending their marriage was a “mutual decision” and that they filed jointly. “They share a deep affinity and love for one another, and though their romantic partnership is ending, they will absolutely be lifelong friends,” the source said.

Reps for Antonoff and Qualley did not immediately return Rolling Stone’s requests for comment.

The couple started dating in 2021, according to People, and were married in August 2023. News that Antonoff and Qualley had separated broke this summer. People‘s report cites a comment from a rep for Qualley in July who contested various reports in tabloid publications about the couple’s relationship. “There are no trust issues,” the rep said. “There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship.”

Antonoff recently spoke about his decision to perform songs from Bleachers’ recent Everyone for Ten Minutes album that he wrote about his relationship with Qualley at concerts. “I obviously was really worried about this specific thing, I sat long and hard with it and thought: ‘If I change the set list …’ and in my gut there was a unanimous jury that said, ‘No, this is the deal,’” he told The Guardian. “‘The deal I’ve made with my audience is that I’m going to tell you honestly how I feel and I’m going to risk at any moment having to stand behind it for fucking ever.’”

In 2024, Qualley told Rolling Stone about how she saw “Tiny Moves” — the Bleachers video that she choreographed, co-directed, and starred in — as a “love letter” to Antonoff. “I like doing everything with Jack,” she said at the time. “He’s my favourite person to do anything with.”
