Wasia Project have announced their return to Australia, locking in three headline shows for January 2027 in support of their debut album, Nocturne.
The London-based duo, comprising siblings Will Gao (who you may know as Tao Xu from Netflix’s Heartstopper) and Olivia Hardy, will kick off their ‘Nocturne Live’ tour at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on January 15th as part of Sydney Festival, before heading to Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on January 16th and Brisbane’s The Triffid on January 19th.
Tickets for the Melbourne and Brisbane shows will go on sale at 12pm Thursday, October 22nd, following a Mastercard presale from 11am on Tuesday, October 20th, and a Secret Sounds presale from 11am on Wednesday, October 21st. All times are local.
Ticketing information for the Sydney Festival performance can be found here.
The announcement follows a busy year for the pair, who have sold out shows across the UK, US, Asia and Australia, alongside a string of festival appearances and the release of their debut full-length record.
Released through AWAL, Nocturne has earned widespread critical acclaim, marking a significant milestone for the duo as they continue to build an international following. The album received praise from Rolling Stone UK, which described it as “a striking progression for the band”, while others highlighted its “striking detail and emotion”.

The upcoming tour will also mark a step up from Wasia Project’s most recent Australian visit, which saw the duo perform two intimate, stripped-back shows in Sydney earlier this year. Both performances sold out within minutes of being announced.
This time, Gao and Hardy will bring their full band to Australia, giving audiences the opportunity to experience the songs from Nocturne in a larger live setting.
