Foo Fighters will perform an up close and intimate show at a brand new live venue in Melbourne next month during their headline stadium tour of Australia.
Crown Melbourne’s new 1,250-capacity entertainment venue, Crown LIVE, will host the US rockers on Monday, November 16th, just two days after they play Marvel Stadium.
“There’s something electric about stripping it all back and getting closer to the fans,” frontman Dave Grohl said.
“We play some of the biggest venues in the world, so the chance to play a club show and share that energy packed into smaller spaces with sweat dripping off the ceiling and walls is something that always excites us.”
Crown Melbourne CEO Ed Domingo added: “Foo Fighters are renowned for filling stadiums across the globe, so the opportunity to see them up close in such an intimate venue as Crown LIVE is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“We believe the measure of a great venue isn’t the size of the crowd it can hold, but the calibre of experience it can create for the people in the room. This is exactly the kind of event Crown LIVE was designed to deliver.”
Crown LIVE will soon release its full lineup of acts in the coming weeks, which will range from music to comedy to theatre and beyond. The venue said in an announcement today: “From arena-filling music icons and Grammy Award winners to Broadway favourites, feel-good theatre shows and internationally acclaimed live productions, the breadth of programming reflects Crown
LIVE’s ability to deliver premium entertainment for every audience.”
