Max McNown is heading back Down Under, today announcing a major Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand headline tour for 2027.
The Nashville-based singer-songwriter will return in February for his biggest headline run in the region yet, playing shows across Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Cairns before crossing the Tasman to Auckland and Christchurch. See full dates below.
General tickets go on sale at 12pm on Friday, September 18th, following artist, Mastercard Australia, and Westpac New Zealand presales beginning at 11am on Wednesday, September 16th, and a Live Nation presale from 11am Thursday, September 17th. All times are local.
The tour follows McNown’s previously sold-out Australian run and comes amid a breakout period for the 25-year-old, who has now amassed more than 900 million streams worldwide. It will come in support of his third studio album, Leave On a Light, which is due out September 25th via Fugitive Recordings.
The 17-track record was made with longtime collaborator Jamie Kenney at Nashville’s Blackbird Studio, with McNown also working with Julian Bunetta and guitarist Charlie Worsham.
“In a way, most of the songs on this album are love songs,” McNown said. “They’re a tribute to my wife and my family, the people who care about who I am outside of music and give me a place of peace and unconditional love to come home to.”
The album has been previewed by “First Born Daughter”, “Comets” and “Take Me Back”, the latter a collaboration with Kygo. It follows a busy stretch for McNown that has included his Stagecoach debut, a performance at Lollapalooza and two sold-out nights at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium.

McNown first broke through with “A Lot More Free”, which has surpassed 400 million worldwide streams, before finding further success with “Better Me For You (Brown Eyes)”. The latter has clocked more than 500 million streams and was named the most-played song on Australian country radio in 2025.
